About family trips
Our nine family tours are private, with your own guide and a private vehicle, and they are planned around children: sites in the morning where we can, a long break in the middle of the day and hands-on parts. The 7 day trip, for example, has a camel ride at the pyramids, a papyrus workshop in Cairo and a felucca sail at Aswan. They run from 7 to 12 days.
Two trips include a Nile cruise on full board, the 7 day and the 10 day trip with Abu Simbel. Three add beach days on the Red Sea, in Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh, and one 8 day trip stays on the road around Cairo, Alexandria and Fayoum with no domestic flight.
These trips suit families whose children can manage a short temple visit. They do not suit a family that wants a single beach week, and several changes of hotel in a week will tire children who dislike moving.

Site visits are placed in the morning wherever we can, and the middle of the day is left for rest, the sun deck on a ship or a long lunch. Some trips include a camel ride, a papyrus workshop and a felucca sail.
The 7 day Cairo and Nile cruise trip and the 10 day Nile cruise trip with Abu Simbel. Both are on full board. The ship sails on fixed weekly days, so the dates follow the ship.
