About desert safaris
Our nine safari trips leave the Nile valley for the desert and the oases. They run from 2 to 8 days and cover the White and Black Deserts, Bahariya, Farafra, Siwa, Fayoum with Wadi El Hitan, Mount Sinai and St Catherine, and the Eastern Desert near Hurghada. Each is private, with a 4x4 in the desert.
The shortest way to sleep in the White Desert is the 2 day trip from Cairo, with one night in a camp and a stop in the Black Desert on the way. Longer trips add more oases and usually more nights in camps or desert hotels. Most days include long drives, so the trips fit travellers who accept basic camp facilities and cold nights.
