About short breaks
The short breaks are for travellers with only a few days, a stopover or a business trip to fit in. The nine trips run from 2 to 5 days and all are private, with your own Egyptologist guide and a private vehicle. They keep to one or two places so that you spend the time looking, not moving.
Cairo and Giza take 2 or 3 days, with the pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Islamic and Coptic Cairo, Saqqara and Memphis. Alexandria can be added to Cairo, Luxor by a short flight, and Luxor and Aswan together in 4 or 5 days. Two trips include Fayoum or a Nile cruise.
These trips suit visitors who want the main sights without a long program. They do not suit anyone who wants a full Nile cruise with Abu Simbel and the Red Sea: the Classic Egypt Tours page covers longer trips.

Three days by road: the Giza pyramids first, then 220 km to Alexandria for a night on the Mediterranean and the library the next morning.
