Giza & the Sphinx
With an Egyptologist
Five hotel nights and two domestic flights: Giza, Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae, with no cruise.
From, per person$8706 or more travellers · 3-star hotels

This is the shortest way we link the three big regions of Egypt. You fly south from Cairo, drive between Luxor and Aswan, and fly back north on the last morning. Every night is in a hotel, so you unpack three times only.
Day 4 is the long one. After the west bank of Luxor you drive about 220 km to Aswan with stops at two temples, and the driving is a long stretch on its own. Plan for an arrival in Aswan after dark.
It suits travellers with a week of leave who want the main sites and do not mind early starts. It does not suit anyone who wants a slow pace, a cruise, or Abu Simbel. For those, look at our 8-day plan with Abu Simbel.

FAQ
Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp and a real person from our team will answer.
It is the hardest day. The Luxor to Aswan road is about 220 km, and that is before the stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo. If that worries you, ask for the 8-day version with a second night in Luxor.
Six days leave room for one night. Luxor has two banks and four major sites, so you move quickly. Travellers who want more time can choose our 8-day plan.
Not in six days. A cruise needs 3 or 4 nights on its own. Our 7-day Cairo and Nile cruise plan is the shortest option with a cruise.
The Cairo to Aswan flight is a short domestic one. On this plan the second flight lands in Cairo on the last day, so you finish where you started.
