This week goes from the pyramids to the river in the classic order. You fly from Cairo to Luxor on Day 3, sleep ashore, fly a balloon at dawn on Day 4 and board the ship the same morning. It then sails four nights to Aswan, where the trip ends.
The ship is Deluxe or Ultra Deluxe and sails on fixed weekly days, so the boarding day is set by the ship. Nobody joins your guide and car, and the mornings on the river start around 7:00.
It suits couples who want both ends of Egypt in a week and a bit and can take one very early morning. It does not suit anyone who needs a beach. Day 4 is long: balloon, West Bank and boarding.
