Most honeymoons go straight to the Nile. This one stops first on the north coast, in Alexandria, which has a waterfront, a library and Roman catacombs. The Alexandria road is 220 km long and starts in Giza.
The Nile part is the 3-night sailing from Aswan to Luxor on a Deluxe or Ultra Deluxe ship that sails on fixed weekly days. The ship sets the dates, and Day 5 is built around the boarding time.
It suits couples who like cities and the sea and would swap one Nile day for them. It does not suit anyone who wants a hotel on the Red Sea or a balloon flight: neither is in this week. Day 5 is long, with a drive and a flight.
