Why travellers choose this trip

This is the heritage honeymoon, built around Abu Simbel and the Nile. After two nights in Cairo you spend two in Luxor, board a Deluxe or Ultra Deluxe ship for the 4-night sailing to Aswan, then stay two more nights ashore so Abu Simbel gets a whole day.

The balloon flight is on Day 4, and Day 5 adds Dendera before the ship leaves. The ship sails on fixed weekly days, so boarding on Day 5 depends on the ship.

It suits couples who want the main sites and a slower end. It does not suit anyone who wants beach days: this version has none, and our 10 day honeymoon programs add the Red Sea instead of Abu Simbel. Day 4 starts before dawn.

FAQ

Questions about this trip

Still unsure? Message us on WhatsApp and a real person from our team will answer.

Can we drive to Abu Simbel instead of flying?

Yes. It is about 300 km from Aswan, by road in a police-escorted convoy that leaves very early. We prefer the flight for a couple.

Is Dendera needed on the boarding morning?

It fits because the ship's check-in is from 12:00. If you want a lighter morning, we can drop Dendera and keep the day for the hotel.

Why two nights in Luxor before the ship?

The balloon needs a pre-dawn start. Two nights keep Karnak, the West Bank and Dendera on separate days, and Day 5 stays free as a spare balloon morning.

Where is the beach?

There is none in this program. Add Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh by choosing one of our 10 day honeymoon programs.

Tell us your dates. We’ll send a day-by-day plan and a clear price.
